Before watching this video, write down the names of the people that you love.
So, many of us in today’s society are going to work every single day and allowing someone else to dictate our lives for at least 6-8 hours throughout that day. Regardless of any emergency, life event, or spontaneous occurrence that may take place, that boss will always stand between you and your personal freedom to do that which you want to do in life.

If your list has any name on that you cherish more than that company, start today to work towards your personal freedom. You can start today to live your life of purpose, because Your Legacy Begins Now!
It’s been said that life begins on the other side of your comfort zone. Our brains are actually designed to keep us safe, to keep us in a state of comfort. We always have a tendency to stay within that comfort zone when we are faced with adversity (growth potential).

When we truly desire to grow in life, we must step outside of that comfort zone. We must desire opportunities that make us uncomfortable. Those opportunities will push us to become a new person, the person we have to become in order to accomplish the goals that have set. So don’t lower the bar. Don’t lower your expectations for yourself. Believe that you will do more than you currently can do, then get to work becoming that person that can do that which you currently desire to do. Persevere, be consistent, believe BIG, and never stop setting the bar higher! Don’t lower the bar!
Start today to live YOUR life of purpose…because Your Legacy Begins Now!
There are some people that I know who are financially able to pay for nannies and private after-school care for their kids while others don’t have that luxury. That first group of people aren’t directly affected by possible cuts or elimination of publicly funded after-school programs…….well, that’s until their home is broken into or vandalized by some of these kids, or until their daughter is sneaking one into her window after school.
God forbid this to happen to anyone, but the sad truth is, most of those not directly affected by an issue will not have much concern of seeing that said issue is properly resolved until it creeps into their life.
People only care when the issue hits home, they don’t care enough to help find or advocate for funding to support these programs, but they are quick to support those seeking to fund correctional facilities to thrown these kids into. All of us as adults have the possibility of our lives being directly and/or indirectly affected when there are hundreds of thousands of children not able to attend an after-school program. These programs can help these kids stay in school in route to graduating and moving on to a successful career or secondary education.

So what type of parent are you? Will you advocate to keep after-school program funding, or will you wait until your son or daughter is sneaking one of these kids in their window while you are still at work before you act.
Let it be known, we cannot fault these kids for getting into mischief if we aren’t willing to invest in programs that can divert those mischievous ways. It starts with us!
Life is short, definitely too short to live it doing something that you don’t enjoy doing. You have to find your purpose, find your passion, find your gift and go at it with your all. It will NOT be easy. You will fall on your face numerous times, but that’s part of the journey! Embrace the struggles and embrace the difficulties! It is only through struggle that we can grow. Welcome all of the difficulties that you can, the more difficulties you face without quitting, the closer you will get to perfecting your craft.

There will be lots of negativity along the way. There will be many people who don’t believe in you and will constantly try to discourage you. They love to see you struggle and pray for the day that you quit. If you quit, they will definitely win. You cannot allow the haters and dream killers to prevent you from chasing your dreams. They will make jokes about you, they will make sarcastic comments, they will dismiss your ideas before they even fully hear them. Don’t be the weak person that allows this to get under your skin and get you down. They will constantly say that you can’t do it. Utilize their disbelief in you as the fuel to prove that you CAN. The best revenge against dream killers and negative people is MASSIVE SUCCESS!
If you really want to be successful at what you love you WILL succeed. Yes, there will be disappointments and failures will happen along the way, but failures are a necessary ingredient on the road to success. You need to taste failure before you can savor the taste of success. Be a humble loser until you win, and then be a humble winner. Don’t allow it to go to your head when you achieve success because you won’t be the talk of town forever. You must KEEP working hard and grinding! You have to continuously hustle to become better than you currently are.

Success is allergic to average. The average person quits after just a few failures. Don’t be average or you will never experience the greatness of success. Push and push and push. Be persistent! Don’t give up and prove yourself worthy of success, but before you consider yourself a success you must have positively affected the lives of others. If you want it bad enough you’ll make it happen, if you don’t, you’ll make an excuse!
The vast majority of our school systems and educational facilities teach on the notion that knowledge is power. They supply our youth with what they feel is the best methodology of educating them to be prepared to go out and take on the world.
The teachers become the liking of a robotic machine monotonously lecturing the same historic information that has been lectured on for decades with the idea that they are preparing these students to go out and succeed in life. While most of them have all the best intentions in mind this simply isn’t enough.
The acquisition of knowledge is indeed highly recommended yet simply the acquisition of this knowledge alone does no good if you don’t know how to apply this knowledge to the real world. Young men and women alike around the country are completing high school today with no idea on how to independently survive, let alone thrive in the society that is unleashed on them upon graduation. The rapid advances in technology have developed the true reality to be nowhere near the what the typical high school education has prepared these young people to take on.
These high school graduates have an abundance of knowledge that has been drilled into their heads for the past four years, yet there was no class that taught them how to pull that knowledge from within and apply it to their respective career pursuits. There was no adviser or counselor there to actually guide these students in the proper direction which would give them the highest odds to thrive in life.
That being said, Knowledge is NOT Power, it is the potential of power. Upon graduation from any institute, regardless of the level of education you have acquired, it is a necessity to continue to self-educate. Never stop studying and polishing your craft. Never stop topping your best and NEVER let anyone else tell you what you can or can not do. Do all of this and you will attain the tools necessary to bring full power to your knowledge.
You deserve to live a life of purpose!
In today’s school system our youth are taught to go to school, make good grades, then graduate and get a good job. This is how you make something of yourself and achieve success in life. The vast majority of our graduating youth complete their studies with this mentality. For some of them, this plays out very well; within a month or so of graduation they land a decent job with a decent salary and room for growth. They stay with this employer for a few years until they either become complacent and eventually fired, or they outgrow the company and move on to another company which they see as a better choice.
In this article we aren’t going to talk about that group of people. I want to talk about those who follow that path of education yet when they finish they do not find employment. They apply and apply to job after job but never receive that callback for an interview. Occasionally they will get through to receive a phone interview yet they never hear back after that phone interview. These youth end up in a semblance of limbo where they are looking to take advantage of the first opportunity that comes along. These youth become caught up in what has been coined as ‘waithood‘.
If we look back through the generations at the greatest figures throughout history who have come to shape the world as we know it you will see one thing in common. The vast majority of them were entrepreneurs who didn’t wait for someone to give them a job. The big issue with this is the fact that our current school system does not teach entrepreneurship. This system does not prepare our youth to go out and own their own financial future. This system teaches our youth to be dependent upon a corporation to decide if these they are qualified to work for their company or not. Traditional work is simply not designed for all people, or better yet, the minds of some of our youth are to complex to be squeezed into the conformity of a traditional form of employment. We need more training to show young people how to be entrepreneurs and take control of their financial future.
The human mind is one of the most underused tools and it is at our immediate disposal. We must train our youth to be innovative and use their minds in ways that powerful thinkers of the past did. Modern day entrepreneurs serve as a catalyst for those around them to also become entrepreneurs and or at the least, to have job opportunities. If we indeed promote entrepreneurship we can empower young people to be creators of the very economic opportunities they’re so desperately seeking.
